Detectives Ed Green and Cyrus Lupo are called to the scene of a fire in a luxury high-rise apartment building in New York City. The fire claimed the lives of a young couple, Michael and Sarah Mills, who had just celebrated their wedding and were starting their new life together. The detectives soon learn that the couple was not the only one living in the apartment and that the fire was not an accident but a carefully planned homicide.

With the help of Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa, they race against time to uncover the truth behind the fire and bring the culprits to justice.
