Ep 16. Suicide Box

In Law & Order season 13 episode 16, titled "Suicide Box," the detectives of the 27th Precinct are faced with the apparent suicide of a young woman named Emily Hoyt. Emily's body is found in a box in an alleyway, and it soon becomes clear that she was a victim of foul play.

The detectives begin their investigation by interviewing Emily's husband, Daniel, who seems to be in shock over his wife's death. He tells the detectives that he and Emily had been married for six months, but that he didn't know much about her past.

As the detectives dig deeper, they discover that Emily was a member of a group of "urban explorers" who would trespass in abandoned buildings and take photographs of their adventures. They also learn that Emily had been involved in a romantic relationship with one of her fellow explorers, a man named Sam.

As they continue their investigation, the detectives find themselves drawn into the world of urban exploration, a dangerous and illegal hobby that has its own set of rules and codes of conduct. They discover that Emily and Sam had been planning a particularly risky mission to explore an abandoned mental hospital, and that several other explorers had also been involved in the planning.

The detectives soon discover that Emily's death was not an accident, but was instead the result of a carefully planned murder. The killer had lured Emily to the abandoned building, and had then pushed her into the box and left her there to die.

As the detectives close in on the killer, they discover that the motive for the murder was far more complex than they had originally thought. The killer had been motivated by jealousy, revenge, and a twisted desire for notoriety within the urban exploration community.

In the end, the detectives are able to bring the killer to justice, but not before they are forced to confront the dangers and complexities of the world of urban exploration. They are left with a sense of unease, knowing that there are many others out there who are willing to risk their lives in pursuit of a dangerous and adrenaline-fueled thrill.
