Detective Olivia Benson and her team are back to investigate another case of sexual assault in season 7 episode 21 of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. This episode, entitled "Web," follows the SVU as they try to take down a group of child abusers who operate under the guise of an online dating service for underage girls.

The episode begins with the SVU being alerted to a series of sexual assaults that all trace back to a website called "My Little Doll." The website, which claims to be a platform for young girls to connect with potential suitors, is actually a front for a group of pedophiles who use it to groom and abuse their victims.

As Benson and her team begin their investigation, they quickly realize that taking down this group won't be easy. My Little Doll is run by a shadowy figure known only as "The Captain," who appears to have an almost endless supply of resources and connections.

Undeterred, the SVU sets a trap for the Captain, posing as potential clients on the site in order to lure him out. But as they get closer to their target, they discover that the Captain isn't the only one they need to worry about. There's also a rogue member of the group who's been using the site to fulfill his own twisted fantasies, and who seems intent on taking things to the next level.

As the SVU races against the clock to prevent another assault, tensions rise within the unit as they struggle to balance their personal feelings with their relentless pursuit of justice.

In typical Law and Order fashion, the episode is fast-paced and packed with suspense. The scenes involving the Captains's negotiations with his clients are particularly gripping, as the viewer is kept on the edge of their seat wondering whether or not our heroes will be able to outsmart him.

But perhaps what makes this episode so powerful is the way it shines a light on the dark underbelly of the internet. The fact that such a site could exist, and that people would be willing to use it to prey on children, is truly chilling. And yet, as Benson points out towards the end of the episode, these types of crimes are alarmingly common in the digital age.

Ultimately, "Web" is a startling reminder of the dangers that lurk online, and a testament to the bravery and tenacity of those who fight to bring these perpetrators to justice.
