The episode titled "Wrath" is the second episode of the third season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. This show is a police procedural drama that follows a team of detectives from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) as they investigate crimes of a sexual nature in New York City.

The episode begins with a woman named Carrie (played by guest-star Cynthia Nixon) being brutally attacked in her apartment. She is beaten, bound and raped by an unknown assailant. Carrie is able to escape and flees to a nearby hospital where she is treated for her injuries.

Detectives Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (played by Christopher Meloni) are assigned to the case and begin their investigation. They learn from Carrie that she has recently ended a relationship with a man named Brian Cassidy (played by Dean Winters), who is a former SVU detective. Carrie believes that Cassidy may be responsible for the attack, due to his violent and controlling behavior during their relationship.

As the investigation progresses, the detectives discover that Cassidy has an alibi for the night of the attack and is cleared as a suspect. They also learn that Carrie was recently fired from her job and had a falling out with a co-worker, making her a possible target of workplace violence.

The investigation takes a turn when a witness comes forward with information that leads the detectives to a suspect with a history of violent behavior. However, when the detectives confront the suspect, he denies any involvement with the attack and claims that he was at home with his girlfriend at the time.

As the detectives continue to pursue leads, they discover that the attack on Carrie was not a random act of violence, but was connected to a larger conspiracy involving a group of individuals who are seeking revenge for a perceived injustice. The detectives race against time to stop the conspirators before they strike again, while also dealing with their personal struggles and conflicts within their own unit.

Overall, "Wrath" is a gripping and intense episode that showcases the complexities of investigating sexual crimes and the toll it takes on those who work in the SVU. The episode also explores themes of revenge, justice, and the blurred lines between right and wrong. Viewers are left on the edge of their seats as the detectives work tirelessly to solve the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.
