In season 11's episode 13 of Law & Order: SVU, titled "P.C.", the squad is called to investigate a hate crime against a Muslim woman who was assaulted and her headscarf was ripped off by a group of men. As the team delves deeper into the case, they discover that the assault may have been staged and the woman may not be telling the truth.

Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are assigned to the case and interview the victim, who identifies herself as Amina Massri. Amina claims that she was attacked by a group of white men who shouted Islamophobic slurs at her and demanded that she take off her headscarf. However, upon further investigation, the detectives begin to question the validity of Amina's story.

Their suspicions are confirmed when they discover that Amina is actually a Christian woman named Anna who converted to Islam in order to marry her Muslim husband. Anna's husband, Mohammad, is also brought in for questioning and reveals that Anna has been struggling with the cultural differences between them and experiencing prejudice from their Muslim community.

As the investigation unfolds, the detectives discover that Anna may have staged the assault in order to gain sympathy and support from her husband and community. However, when a real hate crime against a Muslim man occurs in the same neighborhood, the detectives must race against the clock to find the perpetrator before more violence ensues.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Kim Greylek (Michaela McManus) faces her own challenges when the case is assigned to her office. Greylek is initially hesitant to charge Anna with false reporting due to the sensitivity of the hate crime issue and the political implications it may have. However, as she works closely with the detectives and becomes more involved in the case, Greylek begins to question her initial reservations and must make a difficult decision.

The episode touches on themes of cultural differences, prejudice, and the complexities of hate crimes. It showcases the detectives' determination to uncover the truth while navigating the political and social pressures surrounding the case. As always, Law & Order: SVU delivers a gripping and thought-provoking episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
