When a journalist is murdered in her own apartment, Detectives Goren and Eames are called in to investigate. They quickly discover that the victim had been working on a story about a wealthy businessman accused of sexual harassment by one of his employees. The detectives soon realize that the accused man and his twin brother have been trading places in order to avoid being identified by the victim and other witnesses.

As Goren and Eames delve deeper into the case, they uncover a web of deceit and betrayal that extends far beyond the simple act of sexual harassment.
