Ep 15. Shrink-Wrapped

Detectives Goren and Eames are called in to investigate the murder of a wealthy businessman, Dr. Henry Carlisle, who is found dead in his office building. Carlisle's body is found wrapped in plastic and left in the back of a delivery truck. Upon further investigation, Goren and Eames discover that the victim was under psychiatric care and had been seeing a therapist, Dr. Greg Ross.

As they delve deeper into the investigation, Goren and Eames begin to suspect that Dr. Ross may have been involved in the murder. They discover that Ross has a history of unprofessional behavior and suspect that he may have crossed a line with one of his patients, leading them to believe that the victim may have found out and threatened to expose him. Ross also has access to the plastic wrap that was used to suffocate the victim.

With the help of their colleagues and a bit of luck, Goren and Eames finally catch a break in the case when they discover a connection between Ross and a notorious drug dealer, Louis, who is known for wrapping his drugs in the same plastic that was used to kill Carlisle. The detectives realize that Ross had been selling prescription drugs to Louis and his associates in exchange for the plastic wrap, which he used to suffocate the victim.

The case takes a shocking turn when Goren and Eames discover that Ross had secretly recorded his therapy sessions with the victim, in which Carlisle had revealed his plans to sell his business in order to devote his time and resources to caring for his sick daughter. Ross was desperate to keep the victim from revealing their secret dealings and had killed him to cover up his own illegal activities.

In the final moments of the episode, Goren and Eames confront Dr. Ross with the damning evidence and force him to confess to his crimes. Ross is arrested and taken into custody, while Goren and Eames reflect on the tragedy of a good man losing his life because of another man's greed and corruption.
