Ep 14. Mis-Labeled

Detective Robert Goren and Detective Alexandra Eames of the Major Case Squad investigate a case that revolves around the death of a well-known fashion designer. In this episode of Law & Order: CI titled Mis-Labeled, Goren and Eames are faced with the untimely death of a famous women's clothing designer named Linda Russo, whose body was found stuffed in a garment bag in her apartment.

The detectives begin their investigation by looking into Russo's personal life and her relationships with her employees. They discover that Russo was a controlling boss who treated her employees terribly. Many of the people who worked for her hated her, and it soon becomes clear that Russo had no shortage of enemies. Her closest confidant and assistant to the designer, named Monica, seems to be hiding something as Goren and Eames question her.

The detectives also uncover a recent lawsuit that Russo was involved in with another fashion designer, named Gretchen. Gretchen accused Russo of stealing her designs, and the case had recently settled in Russo's favor. Goren and Eames begin to speculate that a disgruntled Gretchen may have taken matters into her own hands, but they have no direct evidence linking Gretchen to the murder.

As the investigation progresses, Goren and Eames discover that Russo may have been involved in a much larger conspiracy involving the fashion industry, international trade law, and fraud. They discover that a customs broker named Tom Schaefer, who had been working with Russo, may have been involved in the illegal importation of fake designer clothing into the United States. Goren's intuition leads him to believe that Schaefer's partner, a man named Yuri, may have been involved in Russo's murder.

The detectives also discover that Russo's long-time boyfriend, named Chris, has been hiding some critical information from them. Chris, who was out of the country at the time of Russo's death, returned home to find his girlfriend dead. But Chris has a motive for her death, which he tries to conceal from the detectives.

Throughout the episode, Goren and Eames use their unique methods to get to the truth. They rely on their intuition and psychological analysis to uncover new evidence and follow leads that eventually lead them to the real culprit responsible for Russo's death. In the end, they uncover a web of fraud and illegal activities in the fashion industry. Mis-Labeled episode ends after the famous fashion designer's death is brought to justice.
