When the holidays come around, the Baxters are always ready to celebrate with each other. For Thanksgiving, Mike insists on cooking the turkey himself, even though Vanessa has already ordered one from the grocery store. Mike takes on the challenge with confidence, but soon realizes that cooking a turkey is more difficult than he thought.
Meanwhile, Mandy invites her new boyfriend over for Thanksgiving, and the family is eager to meet him. However, when they learn that he is much older than Mandy, they begin to worry about the relationship. Meanwhile, Kristin and Ryan are struggling to decide what to do for Thanksgiving, as they both have plans with their own families.
Amidst the chaos of Thanksgiving preparations, Eve discovers that she has a crush on her neighbor, and tries to figure out how to talk to him. However, her attempts are constantly thwarted by her family members, who keep interrupting her conversations and embarrassing her in front of him.
