Ep 18. Baxter & Sons

Mike Baxter is trying to bond with his three daughters and his son-in-law, Ryan, but is worried that they don't seem interested in the things he enjoys. After coming home from work to find that his grandson has been playing with dolls, Mike worries that his family is too feminine and not getting enough exposure to traditionally masculine interests. Meanwhile, Kyle and Ed prepare to start their own business together, but they are having trouble getting investors to take them seriously.

To try and bond with his family, Mike plans a camping trip with his daughters and Ryan. He hopes that they will all enjoy spending time outdoors and participating in activities like fishing and hunting. However, things don't quite go as planned. The girls are more interested in reading and playing on their phones than in roughing it in the woods. Ryan is perfectly happy to relax and do nothing, while Mike is frustrated that no one seems to want to do the things he enjoys.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Ed struggle to come up with a business plan that will impress investors. They are excited about the prospect of owning their own company, but they worry that they don't have enough experience or expertise to make it a success. They seek advice from Mike, who encourages them to focus on their strengths and come up with a unique selling point for their product.

As the camping trip continues, tensions begin to rise between Mike and his family. The girls are annoyed with their dad's constant insistence on outdoor activities, while Ryan is feeling left out and unwanted. Mike is frustrated that his family is not interested in the same things he is, and he feels like he is failing as a father.

Eventually, things come to a head when Mike gets injured while trying to teach his daughters how to shoot a bow and arrow. The girls are scared and upset, and it becomes clear that they are not comfortable with the kind of activities that Mike enjoys. Meanwhile, Ryan steps in to take care of Mike, and Mike realizes that he has been neglecting his son-in-law's interests and needs.

In the end, Mike and his family have a heart-to-heart conversation about their interests and priorities. Mike learns to appreciate his family's unique perspectives and interests, and he realizes that there is more to being a good father than just sharing hobbies. Kyle and Ed also come up with a new business plan that they are excited about, and they secure the funding they need to get their company off the ground.
