In season 4, episode 3 of Las Vegas titled "The Story of Owe," the Montecito Resort and Casino staff are faced with a new concern. A wealthy international traveler arrives at the resort with the intention of gambling extremely high stakes in their casino, which could potentially break the bank. The guest, known as the Sultan, has a particular interest in playing baccarat and insists on having the best possible treatment from the casino.
Meanwhile, a familiar face returns to the Montecito. Ed's ex-partner, Owe, is back in town with his new wife and is looking to start a new business venture. Danny, who still harbors a grudge against Owe for past indiscretions, initially refuses to help him out. However, circumstances arise which force Danny to reconsider his stance towards his old acquaintance.
As the episode progresses, the Sultan continues to throw huge amounts of money at the casino, leading the staff to scramble to find ways to keep up with his extravagant demands. Meanwhile, Danny decides to accompany Owe and his wife on a business trip to a horse racing event, hoping to make some extra cash on the side. However, the trip takes an unexpected turn, forcing Danny and Owe to work together to get out of a difficult situation.
Back at the Montecito, Mike becomes suspicious of a new employee who seems to be too good at counting cards in the casino. After investigating, he discovers a shocking truth about the employee's identity, which puts the staff and the casino's reputation at risk.
Throughout the episode, the tension between Danny and Owe remains palpable, as they struggle to reconcile their past differences while navigating their current situation. With the Sultan's high-stakes gambling threatening to ruin the Montecito's finances and the looming threat of the card-counting scandal, the staff has their work cut out for them in "The Story of Owe."
