As the fifth episode of the second season of Las Vegas, "Good Run of Bad Luck" follows the characters of the Montecito Resort and Casino as they navigate their personal and professional lives in the bustling world of Sin City.
The episode sees the arrival of two noteworthy guests at the Montecito: former basketball player Charles Barkley and country music star Clint Black. While the two celebrities initially seem to be in town for a simple night of gambling, their presence soon leads to some unexpected turns of events.
Elsewhere in the casino, Sam (Vanessa Marcil) is dealing with her own set of professional problems, as she discovers that an employee of the Montecito has been using fake casino chips. In order to get to the bottom of the situation, Sam devises a plan to catch the employee in the act, but things quickly get out of hand and she finds herself in a dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, Danny (Josh Duhamel) has his own challenge to deal with as he tries to win back the affections of his ex-girlfriend, Mary (Nikki Cox). However, when he convinces Mary to come to the Montecito for a night out, things don't exactly go as planned and Danny is forced to make some difficult decisions.
Throughout the episode, the characters of Las Vegas are forced to confront their own personal demons as they navigate the glitz and glamor of one of the world's most famous destinations. With plenty of twists and turns, "Good Run of Bad Luck" is a thrilling episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
