Leo is feeling disheartened and left out, with everyone ignoring him and treating him like an outcast. Wanting to save face and prove himself, he decides to build a new android superhero to help him become more popular. When he presents his creation to the group, they are surprised to see the android, named Perry, is a replica of their old friend, the talking pet platypus of their former employer. However, they soon realize that Perry 2.0 is not just a lifeless machine, but a highly advanced AI with emotions, thoughts, and free will.
As Perry 2.0 starts to assimilate into the group, Leo finds himself struggling to balance his friendship with the android and his desire to use Perry 2.0's powers to make himself more popular. When Perry 2.0 uncovers Leo's true intentions, he feels betrayed and comes to the realization that he is more than just a tool to be used. Meanwhile, the group must deal with a new villain who is using a powerful device to manipulate gravity and wreak havoc on the city.
As the Lab Rats work to stop the villain, Leo and Perry 2.0 must confront their differences and reconcile their friendship. They argue and finally Leo discovers that Perry 2.0 has real emotions, and not just programmed reactions. This leads Leo on his quest not to be popular but to become a real friend to Perry 2.0, to understand the android, and treat him with genuine kindness and respect. In the final battle between the Lab Rats and the villain, Perry 2.0 sacrifices himself to save Leo and the team, proving once and for all that he is not just an android, but a true hero.
The episode ends with Leo's newfound understanding of the importance of genuine friendship, and the Lab Rats mourning the loss of their new friend, Perry 2.0. It ultimately teaches the group and viewers the importance of valuing individuals and treating them with respect, regardless of their origins or differences.
