Leo gets a lesson in responsibility when he obtains a high-tech bionic arm from a mysterious scientist, but his newfound power soon goes to his head. Meanwhile, Davenport and Tasha go on their first date.
The episode starts with Leo pestering his stepfather, Donald Davenport, about giving him more responsibilities in the lab. Davenport, who is always wary of Leo meddling with the lab equipment, decides to teach him a lesson in responsibility. He introduces him to a mysterious scientist, Dr. Gao, who offers to give him a bionic arm with remarkable abilities. Despite Davenport's warning, Leo accepts the offer and gets a new bionic arm that can break through solid objects and even lift a car. Leo is over the moon with excitement and tests out the arm's capabilities by showing off to his friends.
However, things soon go wrong when Leo's newfound power goes straight to his head. He starts showing off in front of his friends, using his bionic arm to open doors, smash things and even lift people. He becomes arrogant and selfish, and even steals the spotlight from his friend, Adam, at the school talent show. Adam, who is one-third of the Lab Rats, gets jealous of Leo's sudden fame and feels left out. Leo, on the other hand, revels in his new popularity and starts neglecting his responsibilities in the lab.
Meanwhile, Davenport is planning his first date with Tasha, who is Leo's mother and Davenport's personal assistant. He is nervous about the date and asks for advice from his robotic assistant, Eddy. Eddy suggests that Davenport should take Tasha to a fancy restaurant, but Davenport feels that is too clichéd. Instead, he surprises her by taking her to the top of a skyscraper, where they enjoy a beautiful view of the city. The date goes well, and Davenport and Tasha share a romantic moment over a high-wire bar set up on the rooftop.
Back in the lab, Leo's reckless behavior has consequences. He accidentally knocks over a shelf of chemicals, causing them to mix and form a poisonous gas. The Lab Rats and Leo have to work together to find a solution before the gas spreads and hurts anyone. Adam, who is still upset with Leo, initially refuses to help. However, Leo apologizes and admits his mistake, and they eventually reconcile. They come up with a solution to neutralize the gas before it spreads, and they manage to save the day.
The episode ends with Leo learning a valuable lesson in responsibility. He realizes that his bionic arm is a powerful tool that requires careful handling, and that he needs to be more mindful of his actions in the lab. Davenport and Tasha return from their date, happy and in love, and they congratulate Leo and the Lab Rats on their successful mission.
Overall, "Smart and Smarter" is a fun and action-packed episode that teaches a positive message about responsibility and humility. The relationship between Davenport and Tasha is also explored, adding a romantic subplot that is a nice contrast to the sci-fi action. Fans of Lab Rats will enjoy this episode, which features plenty of humor, heart, and exciting bionic action.
