Leo discovers that his mother has been working in the same building as billionaire inventor Donald Davenport, who is taking a hiatus from his company, Davenport Industries, due to an accident caused by one of his inventions. When he sneaks into Davenport's lab, Leo accidentally awakens three bionic teenagers, Adam, Bree, and Chase, who are kept hidden from the outside world for experimentation purposes.
At first, the three siblings are reluctant to trust Leo, but eventually, they warm up to him and involve him in their misadventures. Meanwhile, Davenport returns to the lab and is shocked to find out that his bionic creations are free. He decides to monitor them while keeping their presence a secret, but this proves to be a difficult task as the teenagers struggle to control their abilities.
In "Crush, Chop, and Burn," the trio is tasked with training in order to test the limits of their bionic abilities. However, they quickly grow bored of mundane exercises and decide to use their powers for more rebellious activities. Adam, with his super strength, breaks a lock and steals a motorcycle from the lab; Bree, who has super speed and agility, goes shopping at a high-end store without being caught; and Chase, who can access any database, hacks into the school's system and alters his grades.
Leo is excited to join in on their fun, but after a close call with the police, he realizes that their actions could have serious consequences. Meanwhile, Davenport notices that someone has been hacking into his system, leading him to suspect that the teenagers may not be as obedient as he thought.
As the episode progresses, the siblings must learn to control their powers and work as a team to avoid being caught by the authorities. They also face the challenge of fitting in at school and hiding their extraordinary abilities from their classmates. Bree develops a crush on a boy at school and struggles to keep her secret identity hidden, while Adam and Chase try to avoid any attention and focus on their training.
Overall, "Crush, Chop, and Burn" sets the stage for the series by introducing the main characters and establishing the conflicts that they will face throughout their adventures. The episode is lighthearted and fun, with plenty of humor and action to keep viewers engaged. It also touches on deeper themes such as responsibility, trust, and the dangers of technology.
