La Casa de al Lado is a Spanish-language telenovela that aired from 2011 to 2012 on the US-based Spanish-language network, Telemundo. The show follows two families, the Balvaneras and the Elizondos, who live in neighboring houses on the same street. The main storyline of La Casa de al Lado revolves around a forbidden romance between the Balvaneras' daughter, Isadora, and the Elizondos' son, Diego. Isadora is engaged to another man, but her feelings for Diego cannot be denied. The two lovers try to keep their relationship a secret, but their families' animosity towards each other makes it difficult. Meanwhile, secrets and lies from the past threaten to destroy both families.
Beyond the central love story, La Casa de al Lado is also full of intrigue and betrayal.
