The episode begins with Yuri and Wolfram traveling to a small town named Caloria to stop the cannibal Maken from attacking its residents. The duo arrives to find out that a 700-year-old sword named Morgif is the only thing capable of defeating Maken, but the sword has been lost for years. Meanwhile, Conrad and Gwendal are on a mission to retrieve Morgif and meet up with Yuri and Wolfram to help defeat Maken and save Caloria.
While investigating the town, Yuri and Wolfram come across an old woman who tells them the legend of Morgif. According to the legend, Morgif is not just a sword, but also a creature that feeds on human flesh. It is said that the sword was sealed away because of its insatiable hunger for human flesh. The legend leaves Yuri and Wolfram wondering about the true identity of Morgif and if it's worth using to defeat Maken.
As the night approaches, the town is met with Maken's attack, and Yuri and Wolfram are forced to face him. The battle reveals that Maken also possesses the power of a "maoh," just like Yuri, but he has been corrupted by his desire for human flesh. Yuri tries to talk to Maken, but his words fall on deaf ears, and the battle continues.
During the battle, Morgif appears before Yuri and Wolfram, and Yuri realizes that the sword is not just a weapon but indeed a creature. However, the sword doesn't seem to be interested in attacking Yuri as it does Maken. Yuri devises a plan to use Morgif's hunger to their advantage, and they are able to defeat Maken with its help.
After the battle, the people of Caloria celebrate their victory, and Yuri and his companions return to the castle. The revelation of Morgif's true identity leaves Yuri questioning what it means to be a "maoh" and if his powers come with a price. The episode ends with Yuri contemplating the consequences of his actions and decisions as a ruler.
