However, the machine falls into the wrong hands when a group of criminal cats led by Catwoman steal it and use it to communicate with Krypto's animal friends. The cats plan to use the animals to help them rob a bank, but Krypto and Kevin team up with their fellow animals to foil their plan and save the day. Along the way, Krypto learns that his animal friends are more intelligent and resourceful than he originally thought, and he gains a newfound respect for them.
The episode also touches on themes of aging and the importance of staying active and engaged as one gets older.
