The Kratts' Creatures team takes a trip up north to Canada for their latest adventure. In this episode, titled "The Great Canadians," Chris and Martin Kratt explore the unique and diverse wildlife of Canada. From the forests of the Rocky Mountains to the frigid waters of the Arctic, the brothers encounter a variety of creatures that call Canada home.
Their first stop is Banff National Park, where they meet a family of beavers. After leaving Hudson Bay, the Kratts head to Churchill, Manitoba, where they meet up with a group of researchers studying the beluga whales that inhabit the nearby waters. The Kratts help the researchers gather data on the beluga whales, and marvel at their playful personalities.
Finally, the Kratts conclude their Canadian adventure by traveling to the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia. Here, they spot the elusive Kermode bear, also known as the "spirit bear." The brothers explain how this rare subspecies of black bear has a unique white coat, and the cultural significance of the bear to the indigenous peoples of British Columbia.
Throughout the episode, Chris and Martin Kratt provide insight and commentary on the animals they encounter, as well as the ecosystems in which they live. They also stress the importance of conservation and preserving these habitats for future generations.
