In episode 6 of season 2 of Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life, titled "Confrontation," tensions rise between the members of the koto club as they prepare for their upcoming competition. As the deadline for the competition approaches, the club members become increasingly anxious about their ability to perform at a high enough level to win.
In the midst of all this anxiety, tensions also rise between the club's two leaders, Chika and Satowa. The two have differing opinions on what it means to be a good leader and how to best motivate and encourage their fellow club members. As they navigate these differences, both Chika and Satowa must learn to listen to each other and work together in order to lead the club to success.
Meanwhile, the other members of the club also face their own struggles and insecurities. Hozuki struggles to perfect a difficult new piece of music, while Kurata struggles to play with the same level of passion and emotion as his fellow club members. Through it all, the koto club continues to grow and evolve, learning from each other and finding new ways to express themselves through their music.
With the competition fast approaching, the members of the koto club must learn to come together and work as a team if they hope to win. As they confront their fears and insecurities, they begin to understand the true power of music and the ways it can bring people together. In "Confrontation," viewers are treated to a beautiful and moving exploration of the power of music to unite people from all walks of life.
