Their Time is the third episode of the second season of Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life. The story follows the members of the koto club as they prepare for the upcoming national tournament. In the previous episode, the club members were struggling to work together as a team due to personal conflicts and misunderstandings. Their lack of unity caused them to perform poorly in a practice match.
In this episode, the club members are adamant about improving their skills and working together as a team. The episode starts with Kudo, the president of the club, approaching the other members and suggesting that they join a study camp in Kyoto. The camp is organized by one of the top koto players in the country and would be a great opportunity for the club to learn new techniques and practice together.
Despite being hesitant at first, the other members agree to attend the camp. However, they soon realize that it won't be an easy journey as they encounter unexpected challenges and obstacles along the way. For example, one of the members, Michitaka, suffers from motion sickness and has a hard time traveling on the bus. Another member, Saneyasu, is struggling with his technique and feels like he's letting the team down.
However, along the way, the club members also start to bond with one another and learn more about each other's personalities, interests, and motivations. For example, Chika and Satowa, who had a rocky relationship in the past, start to open up to each other and share their struggles. Meanwhile, Hozuki, who is usually reserved and serious, shows a more relaxed and playful side to her personality.
Once they arrive at the camp, the members are welcomed by the instructor, Akira Takinami. Takinami is known for his strict teaching methods, but he is also respected for his expertise and passion for the koto. He quickly puts the members to work, assigning them challenging pieces to practice and pushing them to their limits.
Throughout the episode, the members are faced with different challenges and setbacks, such as a sudden rainstorm, a strict curfew, and a difficult-performance evaluation. However, despite their struggles, they stay determined and focused, supporting each other through every obstacle.
The episode ends with the members returning home, feeling exhausted but also invigorated and excited for the upcoming tournament. They have learned to trust and rely on each other and are ready to show the world what they are capable of.
Overall, Their Time is a compelling episode that showcases the growth and development of the koto club members. It is a great portrayal of the struggles and challenges that come with pursuing a passion, and the importance of teamwork and perseverance in achieving one's goals.
