In Knight Rider Classic season 2 episode 7 titled "K.I.T.T. the Cat," we find Michael and K.I.T.T. taking on the task of protecting a key witness in a high-profile criminal case. The witness is a young woman named Karen who witnessed a murder committed by a notorious crime boss named Lyle Eastman. The case against Eastman hinges on Karen's testimony, and her life is in grave danger as a result.
To help keep Karen safe, Michael and K.I.T.T. take her with them to stay at a private estate. However, they soon discover that they are not the only ones looking for Karen - Eastman's henchmen are on their trail and will stop at nothing to silence her before she can testify.
As Michael and K.I.T.T. work to keep Karen safe, they come across a stray black cat who seems to be drawn to K.I.T.T. The cat takes a liking to the sleek black car, and even manages to sneak inside of him at one point. K.I.T.T. is initially annoyed by the cat's presence, but eventually comes to appreciate her curious and playful nature.
While staying at the estate, Michael and K.I.T.T. uncover a surprising connection between the owner of the estate and Lyle Eastman. As they try to unravel the mystery, they must also contend with a series of dangerous obstacles standing in their way.
Throughout the episode, K.I.T.T. develops an unlikely bond with the stray cat, whom Michael affectionately names Tanya. Together, Michael, K.I.T.T., and Tanya work to protect Karen and bring Lyle Eastman to justice.
