Ep 1. Episode 1

Set in Korea's Joseon period, Kingdom is a historical thriller that follows the story of the Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji-hoon) as he attempts to unearth the mystery behind the mysterious outbreak that is plaguing his kingdom.

The first episode begins with a tragic event as a young woman is seen collapsing in the middle of a market. As people rush to help her, it quickly becomes apparent that she is infected with a deadly disease that is spreading rapidly, causing death and destruction in its wake.

We are then introduced to the main characters of Kingdom - Crown Prince Lee Chang and his loyal bodyguard, Moo-Young (Kim Sang-ho). They are on their way to the King's palace in order to investigate a strange rumor that the King is not well. However, they soon discover that the King has been dead for days and his body has been hidden away in a secret room.

As the Crown Prince begins to investigate the circumstances surrounding his father's death, he learns that the Queen (Kim Hye-jun) and her father, the chief state councillor (Choi Gwi-hwa), are both involved in a sinister plot to usurp the throne and take control of the country.

Meanwhile, the strange disease continues to spread, and the infected are turning into something far more terrifying than anyone could have imagined. The dead are rising, and they are hungry for human flesh.

As the Crown Prince and his allies struggle to uncover the truth behind the outbreak, they must also find a way to stop the Queen and her father before it's too late. With the help of a physician named Seo-bi (Bae Doona), who has been studying the disease, they begin to piece together the clues that will lead them to the root of the problem.

But time is running out, and the Crown Prince soon finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the Queen and her supporters. With the fate of the kingdom hanging in the balance, he must use all of his wits, courage, and fighting skills to protect his people and secure his rightful place on the throne.

Episode 1 sets the stage for an epic story of political intrigue, betrayal, and horror. Kingdom is a thrilling blend of historical drama and zombie apocalypse, with a talented cast and stunning visuals that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
