As Old as the Hills (1) is the twenty-fifth episode of the third season of the animated sitcom King of the Hill. In this episode, Hank, Dale, and Bill realize they are getting older and have to face the consequences of growing old. Meanwhile, Peggy has to deal with being excluded from a local women's organization.

The episode begins with Hank, Dale, and Bill attending a high school football game. They are excited to watch the game until they realize they are the oldest people in the stands, and the high schoolers seem like children to them. This realization hits them hard, and they start to feel old.

Later that day, the three friends gather at the local tavern and start discussing their age. Dale tries to convince himself and the others that they are not old and can still enjoy life. Hank and Bill, on the other hand, start to feel like they are running out of time and have not done enough with their lives.

Meanwhile, Peggy is feeling left out because she is not invited to join the local women's organization, the Arlen League of Women Voters. She learns that the reason for her exclusion is that she is not considered a "real" Arlen woman since she wasn't born and raised in the town. This deeply upsets Peggy, and she tries to find a way to prove her loyalty to the town and be accepted into the group.

Back at the tavern, Hank and Bill decide to make a bucket list of things they want to accomplish in life before they die. Dale joins in but has trouble coming up with anything significant. Hank and Bill have lofty aspirations, such as traveling the world and experiencing new things. Dale's only desire is to try all the different flavors of Gatorade.

Meanwhile, Peggy sets out to prove herself in the eyes of the Arlen League of Women Voters. She starts volunteering at various community events, hoping to show her commitment to the town and earn their approval. However, her efforts are in vain, and she is still excluded from the group.

As the episode comes to a close, Hank, Dale, and Bill start to realize that their bucket list items are not as important as they thought. They realize that what they cherish the most are their friendship and the small moments they share together. Peggy also has a realization and decides she doesn't need the approval of the Arlen League of Women Voters to feel like a true Arlen resident.

Overall, As Old as the Hills (1) is a touching and relatable episode that explores the fear of aging and the importance of genuine connections in life.
