Hank discovers that he has a talent for magic tricks when he impresses a group of kids at a children's birthday party. Encouraged by his success, he begins practicing more and more, eventually leading him to enter a local magic competition.
However, his newfound interest in magic begins to take a toll on his relationships with his friends and family. He becomes so obsessed with perfecting his routines that he neglects his responsibilities at work and home. The pressure of the competition and the strain on his relationships begin to weigh on him, and Hank must decide if winning the competition is worth sacrificing everything else in his life.
Meanwhile, Peggy becomes obsessed with perfecting her own talent - speaking Spanish. She enrolls in a class with a demanding teacher and practices constantly, determined to become fluent in the language. However, her fixating on her language skills becomes almost as consuming as Hank's magic tricks, causing her to neglect other important aspects of her life.
Together, Hank and Peggy must learn to balance pursuing their passions with maintaining their relationships and obligations to their loved ones.
