Shit, I Might Fall for You is the second episode of the thrilling anime Killing Bites that aired in January 2018. Following up on the intense premiere, audiences are thrown right back into the shocking and brutal world of human-animal hybrids where the powerful and violent rule the day. After being introduced to the four main characters in the previous episode, Killing Bites continues to explore their dynamic and motivations in this second installment.
The episode picks up where the first left off, with heiress Hitomi Uzaki bringing her friend Yuya Kanzaki into the world of underground hybrid battles. After learning about the rules and regulations of the underground fighting circuit, Yuya becomes even more nervous about the potential danger that surrounds him. Hitomi, on the other hand, is eager to introduce Yuya to her prized hybrid fighter, the ferocious honey badger named Honey Badger.
The introduction proves to be a shocking one as Honey Badger immediately attacks Yuya, ripping off part of his ear and leaving him injured. Despite the brutality of the situation, Hitomi does not seem concerned and even encourages Honey Badger’s behavior. This incident sets off a chain of events that will lead to Yuya’s involvement in the underground fighting world becoming even deeper.
Meanwhile, the other main character, the con-man and hybrid fighter Yuuya Nomoto, is adjusting to his new life as a part of the hybrid world. He is still reluctant to become involved with the dangerous fighting circle, but his close connection to the powerful hybrid Panther leads him further down the rabbit hole. Panther is the loyal pet and enforcer of the notorious Zaibatsu clan, and in this episode, Yuuya becomes further ingrained in their world.
Through a series of events, Yuuya and Panther are tasked with fighting against a rival clan in a vicious battle that turns even bloodier than the previous episode’s fight. The two must rely on each other for survival and victory, which leads to a deeper understanding of each other. This character development reveals more about Panther’s past and motivations and sets up a more complex relationship between Yuuya and the Panther.
Throughout the episode, the tension and violence of the underground fighting world continue to ramp up, and the stakes get even higher. The main protagonists are drawn further into the chaos, and the risks they take become even more significant. The powerful and violent hybrid fighters continue to reign supreme, making their human counterparts seem almost defenseless against them.
Another notable element of the episode is the introduction of a new character, the formidable Eagle hybrid fighter, who becomes embroiled in conflict with Hitomi and Honey Badger. Eagle’s ruthless and cunning nature make him a difficult opponent, and his arrival in the series adds a new layer of danger and intrigue.
Overall, Shit, I Might Fall for You, is another thrilling and brutal episode of Killing Bites that further establishes the dark and violent nature of the world. The complex relationships between the characters only add to the intrigue and suspense, making it a must-watch for fans of action-packed anime.
