As the twentieth episode of Killer Mysteries' first season, "Blood on the Chef's Apron" delves into a murder mystery set in the high-stakes world of fine dining. The episode opens with Chef Adam Martin, a prominent Michelin-starred chef in the city, prepping his kitchen for the evening's service. He is meticulous in his preparations, checking every ingredient and every utensil to make sure everything is perfect.

But he soon realizes that something is amiss. One of his sous chefs, Alex, is late, and Chef Martin can't find him anywhere. He calls Alex's phone several times but it goes straight to voicemail. Growing concerned, Chef Martin asks his head waiter to cover the kitchen while he steps out to search for Alex.

He makes his way to Alex's apartment, knocking on the door and calling out his name. Eventually, he hears a faint moaning sound from within. He tries the door, but it's locked. He calls the building's super and asks him to let him in.

Inside, Chef Martin is horrified to find Alex lying on the floor in the living room, covered in blood. He immediately calls the police, who arrive on the scene shortly after. The detectives assigned to the case, Detectives Jamie Taylor and Jack Myers, are quick to start their investigation.

As they dive into the case, they interview Chef Martin, Alex's coworkers, and anyone else who may have had motive or opportunity to commit the crime. They learn that Alex was something of a wild card, often showing up late and not fully committing to his job. However, they also learn that he had recently made some serious headway in his personal life, committing to a serious relationship and expressing interest in starting his own restaurant one day.

The detectives quickly realize that the key to the case may lie in Chef Martin's kitchen. They scour the area, combing over every inch for evidence. Their suspicion only grows when they discover that Alex's apron has gone missing, leading them to believe it may have been used to clean up the crime scene.

As the investigation progresses, the detectives soon learn that Chef Martin had a more complicated relationship with Alex than he had initially let on. In fact, they discover that the two had a heated argument the night before Alex's murder, and Alex had threatened to expose some of Chef Martin's less-than-ethical kitchen practices.

With this new information, the detectives hone in on Chef Martin as a suspect. But the case is far from clear cut. There are other possible suspects in the mix, including a sous chef who had expressed frustration with Alex's lack of commitment, and a food critic who had received a less-than-stellar review from Chef Martin.

As the detectives piece together the evidence and testimony from those involved, they must confront their own biases and assumptions to ultimately solve the case and bring justice to Alex and his loved ones.

"Blood on the Chef's Apron" offers a thrilling and intricate murder mystery that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end. With a complex web of suspects and motives, this episode highlights the nuances of investigations and the importance of following the evidence wherever it may lead.
