Ep 2. Mommie Dearest & Forbidden Love

Killer Kids is a true-crime television series that explores some of the most disturbing cases of young murderers in history. Each episode uncovers the stories of children who kill, digging into the psychological and sociological factors that drive them to commit heinous crimes. The episode begins by introducing us to a young girl named Jamine, who was just 12 years old when she committed murder. Jamine grew up in a deeply troubled household, with a mother who was physically and emotionally abusive towards her and her siblings. Jamine's mother was addicted to drugs and often left her children to fend for themselves, leading Jamine to turn to the streets for support and protection.

It was on one of these outings that Jamine met a group of older boys who introduced her to drugs and sex. One of these boys, a 16-year-old named Michael, soon became Jamine's boyfriend. Despite the significant age gap, Jamine saw Michael as her only source of stability and love in a world that had never shown her any compassion.

But things took a dark turn when Jamine's mother found out about her relationship with Michael and forbade her from seeing him again. Desperate to be with the boy she loved, Jamine hatched a plan to murder her mother and run away with Michael. In a shocking and grisly scene, Jamine and Michael strangled Jamine's mother to death in her own bedroom.

The second half of the episode explores the story of another young killer, 15-year-old Samson. Samson grew up in a strict, religious household where he was forced to suppress his sexual identity and desires. Despite his parents' efforts to "pray the gay away," Samson found himself falling in love with a classmate named Steven. When Samson finally worked up the courage to confess his feelings to Steven, they began a secret, illicit affair.

But their blissful romance was short-lived when Steven's parents found out about their relationship and forbade Steven from seeing Samson again. Devastated and heartbroken, Samson began to plan a violent revenge against Steven's parents. In a chilling twist, he recruited his younger brother to help him carry out a brutal attack that left Steven's parents dead and the two boys on the run from the law.

Throughout "Mommie Dearest & Forbidden Love," we see how these young killers were driven to extreme measures by forces beyond their control. From abusive households to societal pressure, these children were failed by the adults in their lives and left to find their own solutions to impossible problems. The episode is a sobering reminder of the dangers of neglect, intolerance, and cruelty, and a haunting glimpse into the minds of children who became killers.
