Naomi And Ruth is the fourteenth episode of season three of Kids' Bible Stories. In this episode, the story of Naomi and Ruth from the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament of the Bible is retold in a child-friendly and engaging way.

The episode begins by introducing the main characters, Naomi and her two sons. They live in Bethlehem but during a time of famine, they decide to move to Moab, where they hope to find food and a new life. In Moab, Naomi's sons marry Moabite women, Ruth and Orpah. However, tragedy strikes when Naomi's sons both die, leaving her a widow and childless.

Naomi then decides to go back to Bethlehem and tells Ruth and Orpah to stay in Moab and find new husbands. Orpah agrees, but Ruth insists on staying with Naomi and returning to Bethlehem with her. Ruth tells Naomi, "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." This line has become famous and is often used to celebrate the loyalty and friendship between the two women.

Once in Bethlehem, Ruth goes out to glean in the fields, which means she gathers leftover crops that are not harvested by the farmers. By law, this was allowed to provide for the poor and widowed. She ends up working in the field of Boaz, who is a relative of Naomi's but doesn't know Ruth yet. Boaz is impressed by Ruth's hard work and asks his workers to leave extra crops for her to collect.

Naomi recognizes that Boaz is a potential husband for Ruth and encourages her to go to his field and make herself available to him. Ruth does so, and Boaz is pleased to see her again. He tells Ruth to continue working in his fields until all the harvest is done and promises to protect her.

There is a tense moment in the story when Ruth goes to Boaz at night and lies down at his feet. This was a custom in ancient times to show that she wanted him to be her husband and take care of her. Boaz is surprised but sees that Ruth is a good woman and agrees to marry her. This act of love and compassion helps to restore joy to Naomi's life, and Ruth bears a child, who becomes the grandfather of King David.

The episode concludes with a message of love, loyalty, and sacrifice, as exemplified by Ruth's devotion to Naomi. Children are encouraged to look out for their friends and be kind and compassionate to others in need.

Overall, Naomi And Ruth is an inspiring and heartwarming episode that is enjoyable for both children and adults. The Bible story of Naomi and Ruth is retold with care and sensitivity, and the animation is bright and colorful, making it engaging and entertaining for young viewers. The episode is an excellent resource for parents and teachers who want to teach children about the importance of friendship, loyalty, and kindness.
