In Kickin' It season 2 episode 13, titled "The Chosen One," the dojo is gearing up for the annual karate tournament, but tensions are high when the sensei announces that only one member from the dojo will be chosen to compete. Each of the members feels that they should be the one chosen, causing some friction within the group.
Meanwhile, Rudy has been approached by a wealthy businessman who wants him to take on his daughter, Francine, as a student. Rudy is hesitant at first, but when he sees Francine's impressive skills, he agrees to take her on as a student. However, he quickly realizes that Francine is extremely competitive and has a bit of an attitude problem.
As the tournament draws nearer, the members of the dojo become more competitive and begin to sabotage each other. Jerry tries to cheat, Eddie becomes more aggressive, and Kim becomes overly obsessed with winning. Eventually, Jack is chosen as the one to represent the dojo, causing some resentment from the others.
When it comes time for Jack to compete, he realizes that he cannot win on his own and enlists the help of his friends. They work together to create a routine that showcases each of their skills, ultimately impressing the judges and winning the tournament.
At the same time, Rudy has his hands full with Francine. Her behavior becomes increasingly erratic, and Rudy must figure out how to teach her not only karate but also some important life lessons. In the end, Rudy's guidance helps Francine become a better person, and she leaves the dojo with a newfound sense of humility.
Overall, "The Chosen One" is a heartwarming episode of Kickin' It that showcases the importance of teamwork and friendship. It also reminds us that sometimes winning isn't everything and that it's essential to learn from our mistakes and become better people.
