Ep 19. Showroom Showdown

Kevin Can Wait follows the story of retired police officer Kevin Gable, played by Kevin James, as he navigates life at home with his wife Donna, played by Erinn Hayes, and their three kids. In season 1 episode 19, titled "Showroom Showdown," Kevin gets roped into helping his daughter Kendra, played by Taylor Spreitler, with her school project.

Donna is left to deal with all the household chores and take care of Kevin's elderly uncle Kyle, played by Gary Valentine, who has come to visit. Kyle is a handful at the best of times, but with Kevin preoccupied with the car project, he's even more of a handful than usual. Donna is at her wit's end trying to deal with everything on her own.

Meanwhile, Kendra is frustrated that her father won't listen to her ideas for the car. She feels like he's taking over her project and she doesn't have any agency or control over the final product. She's also worried about what will happen if she fails the assignment. It's a big part of her grade and she's determined to do well.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise between Kevin and Kendra as they clash over the direction of the car project. Donna tries to mediate, but she's having a hard time juggling everything on her plate. Uncle Kyle is causing chaos and Kendra is on the verge of a breakdown. The pressure is mounting and it looks like everything is about to come crashing down.

In the end, the family comes together to support each other and Kevin realizes that he's been neglecting his duties as a husband and father. He apologizes to Kendra for taking over her project and they work together to come up with a compromise that satisfies both of them. Donna gets her new car and Uncle Kyle heads back home. Everything seems to be back to normal.
