Kenka Bancho Otome -Girl Beats Boys- is a 12-episode anime series that features a fairly unique take on the typical school anime genre. The story follows Hinako Nakayama, a shy and reserved girl who transfers to a new high school with one goal in mind: to become the top delinquent and fulfill her brother's wish. Hinako's brother was a legendary bancho, or gang leader, before he died in a motorcycle accident. Now, to honor his memory, Hinako must take on the mantle of the bancho and rule over the other delinquents in the school.

While this premise may sound over-the-top, the show actually manages to strike a balance between its serious and comedic elements. Hinako's struggle to assert herself as the new bancho is the main driving force behind the story, and it's interesting to see how she navigates this unfamiliar territory. At the same time, the show doesn't take itself too seriously and injects plenty of humor into the proceedings. Hinako is often at odds with the other delinquents, but they also become her closest allies and friends as she learns to balance her bancho duties with her personal life.

One of the most unique aspects of Kenka Bancho Otome -Girl Beats Boys- is that all of the other delinquents are boys. This sets up an interesting dynamic, as Hinako must not only prove herself as a bancho but also as a girl in a male-dominated environment. Despite their tendency to underestimate her, Hinako proves time and time again that she's more than capable of going toe-to-toe with any of the boys. This leads to some great action scenes, as Hinako and the other delinquents duke it out in classic shonen anime style.

However, the show is not all action and comedy – there's also a healthy dose of romance thrown in for good measure. Hinako's interactions with the other characters are a big part of what makes the show work. Her relationship with the main love interest, Totomaru Minowa, is particularly interesting. Totomaru is initially dismissive of Hinako, but as he gets to know her better, he begins to see her in a different light. Their gradual romance is handled well and adds an emotional depth to the show.

The animation in Kenka Bancho Otome -Girl Beats Boys- is solid overall. The character designs are distinctive, and the action scenes are well choreographed. However, there are a few moments where the animation feels a bit stiff or choppy. This is particularly noticeable in some of the dialogue scenes, where characters' facial expressions don't quite match the tone of the conversation. This is a minor complaint, though, and overall the animation is more than serviceable.

The voice acting in the show is top-notch, with each actor bringing a distinct personality to their role. Hinako in particular is voiced by two actors – one for her normal speaking voice and another for her more aggressive bancho persona. Both actors do a great job of capturing Hinako's different sides. The show's music is also worth mentioning, with a catchy opening theme and some great background tracks during the action scenes.

Overall, Kenka Bancho Otome -Girl Beats Boys- is a fun and engaging anime series that manages to put a unique spin on the school anime genre. While the show can be a bit silly at times, it's never afraid to tackle more serious themes like loss and self-discovery. The action scenes are exciting, the characters are likable, and the romance is satisfying. If you're looking for a show that's both entertaining and heartfelt, this one is definitely worth checking out.
