Kenichi is a Japanese anime series about a high school student named Kenichi Shirahama who is constantly bullied by his classmates. He learns karate to defend himself and soon finds himself caught up in the world of martial arts.
In episode 12, titled A New Enemy! Tsuji Shinnosuke!, Kenichi faces off against a new opponent named Tsuji Shinnosuke. Tsuji is a karate practitioner and the leader of a gang of delinquents. He challenges Kenichi to a fight, claiming that he wants to see if Kenichi is truly worthy of being the disciple of the legendary martial artist, Ryozanpaku.
Kenichi initially refuses to fight Tsuji, knowing that he is not strong enough to take him on. However, Tsuji is persistent and continues to goad Kenichi into fighting him. Kenichi eventually decides to accept the challenge, believing that it is the only way to prove himself.
The two fighters enter into a brutal battle, each one determined to come out on top. Tsuji unleashes a barrage of powerful karate techniques, while Kenichi relies on his training in multiple martial arts styles to try and keep up. The fight is intense and both fighters are pushed to their limits.
As the battle reaches its climax, Tsuji suddenly reveals that he is not actually interested in defeating Kenichi. He is, in fact, a spy working for a rival martial arts dojo that wants to take down Ryozanpaku. Tsuji's plan is to weaken Kenichi and get him to join their dojo, where they can use him as leverage against Ryozanpaku.
Kenichi is shocked and appalled by Tsuji's treachery. He realizes that he has been fighting not only for his own honor and reputation, but for the safety of his martial arts masters. Despite his exhaustion from the fight, Kenichi summons his remaining strength and defeats Tsuji. He decides to report Tsuji's plan to Ryozanpaku, thus preventing any further attempts at betrayal.
Overall, A New Enemy! Tsuji Shinnosuke! is an exciting episode that showcases the intense martial arts battles and themes of loyalty and betrayal that are central to Kenichi's story. It also highlights Kenichi's growth as a fighter and a person, as he learns to stand up for what is right and defend those he cares about.
