Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple season 1 episode 13 is titled "The Way of the Fight! The Rules of the Real Fight!". The episode opens with Kenichi, Miu, and their friends visiting a martial arts store to buy new gear. Kenichi is excited to test out his new equipment and asks Miu to spar with him. However, Miu turns down his request, saying that he needs to train with someone who is stronger than him.
Kenichi then visits the Ryozanpaku dojo to train with the masters. He is surprised to find that all of the masters are busy with their own training and are not willing to spar with him. Sakaki, the boxing master, advises Kenichi to observe street fights if he wants to improve his skills. Kenichi sets out to watch street fights and comes across a gang led by a fighter named Kajima.
Kajima challenges Kenichi to a fight, but Kenichi quickly realizes that street fights have no rules and anything goes. Despite this, Kenichi fights back with all his might and impresses Kajima with his skills. Kajima then tells Kenichi about the three rules of a real fight: there are no rules, there is no such thing as a fair fight, and there is no referee.
Kenichi takes Kajima's words to heart and decides to train harder than ever before. He returns to Ryozanpaku and asks the masters to spar with him once again. This time, they agree and Kenichi faces off against Akisame, the weapon master.
The fight between Kenichi and Akisame is intense, with both fighters using their respective techniques to gain the upper hand. Despite his best efforts, Kenichi is unable to defeat Akisame and is left bruised and battered. However, he learns an important lesson from the fight: real fights require more than just technique – they also require strategy and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
As the episode comes to a close, Kenichi thanks the masters for their training and vows to continue improving his skills. He knows that there are still many challenges ahead, but he is determined to become the mightiest disciple.
