Kemeko Deluxe! is an anime series that aired in the autumn of 2008 in Japan. It is a romantic comedy that features a quirky and peculiar narrative that is sure to keep audiences entertained. The series is set in a fictional city in Japan, and the protagonist is a high school student named Sanpeita Kobayashi. Sanpeita has an aversion to robots, which is ironic, as Kemeko â the main character of the story â is a powerful robot.
One day, Sanpeita receives a package in the mail. The sender of the package is a mysterious figure known only as "M.M." Inside the package is a small, cute girl named Kemeko. Kemeko is actually an artificial intelligence system that is embodied in a large robot figure. She is sent to protect Sanpeita from the evil forces that are after him.
The series follows Sanpeita and Kemeko as they navigate their way through school and the dangerous world that surrounds them. As the story unfolds, viewers are introduced to a colorful cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and quirks.
Eri Kitamura voices Kemeko, and she does an excellent job of breathing life into the character. Kemeko's quirky and unpredictable nature is perfectly conveyed through Kitamura's vocal performance.
Aya Hirano plays the role of Sanpeita's childhood friend, Misaki Hayakawa. Misaki is a bit of a tsundere character, which means that she has a tendency to act cold and aloof towards Sanpeita, even though she secretly has feelings for him. Hirano's voice acting is spot on, and she does a great job of bringing Misaki's personality to life.
Mamiko Noto plays the role of Mei Mishima, who is another one of Sanpeita's friends. Mei is a bit of a scientist, and she spends a lot of her time tinkering with machines and gadgets. Noto's voice acting is excellent, and she brings a lot of depth and complexity to Mei's character.
Ayako Kawasumi plays the role of Ryota Minamino, who is Sanpeita's best friend. Ryota is a bit of a jock, and he is often seen playing sports or working out. Kawasumi does a great job of voicing Ryota, and she brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the character.
Mai Goto plays the role of Izumi Makihara, who is a somewhat mysterious character that Sanpeita meets later on in the series. Goto's voice acting is excellent, and she brings a lot of depth and complexity to Izumi's character.
The series also features voice acting from Umeka Shouji, Aya Endo, Masamichi Sato, Rie Kugimiya, Kokoka Shuzen (CV: Chiwa Saito), Saeko Chiba, Fumie Mizusawa, Haruka Tomatsu, Kotono Mitsuishi, Mikako Takahashi, Ryoko Shiraishi, and Kana Hanazawa.
Overall, Kemeko Deluxe! is a fun and entertaining series that is sure to keep audiences engaged from start to finish. The quirky characters and offbeat storyline are a refreshing change of pace from the typical anime fare, and the voice acting is top-notch. If you're looking for a fun and light-hearted romantic comedy, you can't go wrong with Kemeko Deluxe!
