Ep 5. Kaguya Wants to Handle It / Miyuki Shirogane Wants to Show Off / Kaguya Wants to Be Covered

When it comes to matters of the heart, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are always trying to one-up each other. In this episode, titled "Kaguya Wants to Handle It / Miyuki Shirogane Wants to Show Off / Kaguya Wants to Be Covered", the two student council members find themselves in a variety of situations where they must navigate their feelings for each other while trying to maintain their pride.

Determined to prove himself, Miyuki tries to come up with ways to make Kaguya laugh, but his attempts only seem to make things worse. Eventually, he realizes that he doesn't need to compete with anyone else to win Kaguya's heart.

The final segment, "Kaguya Wants to Be Covered", finds Kaguya dealing with a wardrobe malfunction at school. She's embarrassed by the situation and doesn't want anyone else to see her like that, especially not Miyuki. However, when Miyuki offers to lend her his coat to cover up, Kaguya's pride prevents her from accepting. She'd rather suffer in silence than admit that she needs help. But as the day goes on, Kaguya begins to regret her decision and wonders if she should've just taken the coat after all.

Throughout the episode, we see Kaguya and Miyuki's complex feelings for each other play out in a variety of ways. They both want to be strong and independent, but they also want to be seen as vulnerable and in need of support. As they navigate these conflicting emotions, they continue to find themselves drawn to each other, despite their best efforts to keep their feelings hidden.
