Raylan Givens is a United States Marshal who is on a mission to clean up his hometown in Kentucky. His latest case has him going after a group of white supremacists who are responsible for the deaths of a federal judge and a witness. In this episode, titled "Blowback," Raylan's investigation into the white supremacist group begins to hit too close to home as he discovers that the group's leader, Bo Crowder, is actually his own father's former boss.
With this revelation, Raylan finds himself questioning his own loyalties. He's always felt estranged from his father, a career criminal who never managed to escape the shadow of Bo Crowder's criminal empire. Now, Raylan must decide whether to turn in his father's former boss or risk everything to protect his own family ties.
Meanwhile, Boyd and Ava are attempting to start a new life together, but the weight of Boyd's past crimes continues to follow them. When Boyd's ex-con cousin Johnny comes to town looking for work, Boyd is reluctant to involve him in his own criminal schemes. However, Johnny's involvement in Ava's domestic abuse case brings him closer to Boyd's dangerous world than he ever expected.
As the tension builds between Raylan and Bo Crowder, the white supremacists begin to feel the pressure and take even more drastic measures to protect their territory. With the help of his partner Art, Raylan plans a daring raid on the group's compound. But as the operation goes awry, Raylan must confront the consequences of his own actions and decide whether his pursuit of justice is worth the cost.
In "Blowback," the stakes are higher than ever for Raylan and his colleagues. With his own family ties and personal alliances on the line, he must navigate a dangerous landscape where betrayal and violence are commonplace. The episode provides a tense and thrilling look at the roles that loyalty and family play in the world of law enforcement and criminal activity as the characters face their biggest challenges yet.
