Ep 9. Paradise Lost (2)

Paradise Lost (2) is the ninth episode of the first season of Justice League. In this episode, the Justice League continues their mission to the island of Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island, to stop an invasion by the sorceress Circe and her army of mythological monsters.

The Justice League is joined by Wonder Woman, the Amazon princess and protector of Themyscira. She is the League's key to accessing the island and defeating Circe. However, they face resistance from Wonder Woman's mother, Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, who is determined to protect her island at all costs and not involve outsiders in their affairs.

Despite Hippolyta's reluctance, the Justice League manages to infiltrate the island and rescue Wonder Woman's sister, who was captured by Circe's forces. They learn that Circe's ultimate goal is to open a gateway to Tartarus, the underworld of Greek mythology, and release an ancient evil trapped there. The League must stop the gateway from opening and prevent this evil from being unleashed upon the world.

As the battle rages on, the League is split up and have to work separately to accomplish their objectives. Wonder Woman confronts Hippolyta about her inflexibility and the need for Themyscira to join the rest of the world in its battles against evil. Meanwhile, Batman, Superman and Flash work to destroy the gateway to Tartarus and stop Circe's plan.

The episode reaches its climax as the League is successful in their mission, but not without casualties. The alliance between Themyscira and the Justice League is formed out of this successful mission. Themyscira, hiding its true identity from the rest of the world, agrees to work with the Justice League as an operative to fight against evil forces from beyond.

Overall, Paradise Lost (2) is an action-packed episode that includes the dynamic teamwork that is the backbone of the Justice League. The episode shows the development of the league's mission and objectives, which is not only confined within the city but includes the world as a whole.
