The Justice League Season 1 Episode 25, "The Savage Time (2)," is the second and final part of a three-part time travel story. In this episode, the Justice League must once again face off against their arch-enemy, Vandal Savage, who has successfully altered history and taken over the world. The team must find a way to set things right and prevent the cataclysmic events that have led to Savage's reign of terror.

The episode opens with the Justice League preparing to launch their final assault against Savage's Nazi forces. Using the time machine they have acquired, they must get to Savage's headquarters in 1944 and stop him before he can complete his plan to alter the course of history. They do so by splitting up into small groups to take on the various key positions within the complex.

The majority of the episode takes place within the year 1944 - at the height of World War II. The Justice League members each have their unique strengths and skills, and they use them to great effect in their fight against the Nazis. Wonder Woman commands troops on the ground in France, while Green Lantern and Hawkgirl take out enemy planes in the air. Batman, with the help of none other than Sgt. Rock, infiltrates Savage's headquarters. Meanwhile, Superman, disguised as a Russian soldier, attempts to extract information from the front lines.

In this episode, there are plenty of action scenes, with the Justice League members fighting against a variety of different foes. There are also a few touching moments, such as the scene where a young boy hands Superman a drawing of the hero, highlighting the idea that even in a world gone mad, people still look up to the Justice League.

While the majority of the episode takes place in 1944, there are some scenes that show the present day. These scenes highlight the stakes of the Justice League's mission, as we see just how dire the future could be if Savage's plans succeed. The team must not only succeed in taking down Savage but also prevent his actions from having any lasting effects on the timeline.

One of the most notable aspects of this episode is the change in tone from previous episodes. While Justice League has always been known for its humor and lightheartedness, this episode takes on a much more somber tone. Because of the weightiness of the situation, there are very few moments of levity. This serious tone is coupled with the dark backdrop of World War II, making it clear that this is not a typical Justice League adventure.

One of the main themes of this episode is the idea of sacrifice. The Justice League members understand that in order to set things right, they must be willing to make tough decisions and perhaps even give up their lives. This sense of selflessness is what sets the Justice League apart and drives their actions throughout the episode.

As the Justice League members split up and take on their individual tasks at Savage's headquarters, we are treated to a variety of different action sequences. From Wonder Woman charging into battle on horseback to Superman lifting massive tanks, each member of the team is given their moment to shine. The villains in this episode are particularly memorable, with General Blitz in particular proving to be a formidable foe.

Perhaps the most striking thing about this episode is the sense of urgency it creates. We know that the future is at stake, and every second counts. The Justice League must work together seamlessly and use all of their skills if they hope to have any chance of preventing Savage's plans from coming to fruition.

Ultimately, "The Savage Time (2)" is an incredibly entertaining and action-packed episode with a serious tone that sets it apart from other episodes in the series. It's a testament to the Justice League's heroism and selflessness, with the team members working together to prevent the catastrophic events that would have led to Savage's ultimate victory. Whether you're a fan of superheroes, alternate history, or just great action, this episode is not to be missed.
