Ep 8. The Return

The Return is the eighth episode of the first season of the animated television series Justice League Unlimited. The episode features the return of the legendary comic book superhero Green Arrow, who had previously made an appearance in the earlier series Justice League.

The story begins with an attack on the Watchtower, the Justice League's orbital headquarters, by a group of androids known as Amazo. The League engages the Amazo androids, but they prove to be highly advanced and difficult to defeat. During the battle, Green Arrow arrives on the scene and joins the fight. With his help, the League ultimately manages to subdue the androids and disable their creator, Professor Ivo.

He convinces the League to join him in hunting down the weapon and destroying it before it can be used against them.

The team splits up into two groups to investigate two possible locations: one in the Amazon rainforest and the other in Siberia. The group that travels to the Amazon is led by Black Canary and features Green Arrow, Supergirl, and Captain Atom. The Siberian mission is led by Martian Manhunter and includes Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and the Flash.

Both teams eventually discover evidence of Ivo's weapon and engage in battles with his robotic henchmen. In the end, the two groups come together to destroy the weapon and defeat Ivo. However, it is revealed that Ivo had another, more personal reason for targeting the League: he blames them for the death of his daughter, who was killed during a previous battle.

The episode ends with Green Arrow deciding to rejoin the Justice League full-time, following his hiatus following the events of Justice League.

Overall, The Return is a fast-paced and action-packed episode that features many of the iconic characters from the Justice League universe. The return of Green Arrow adds an interesting dynamic to the episode, as the character has a history with fellow League member Black Canary. The threat posed by Ivo's weapon is suitably ominous and provides a compelling reason for the League to come together to stop him. Fans of superhero action will find plenty to enjoy in this episode, which serves as another strong entry in the Justice League Unlimited series.
