Just Roll with It is an American comedy series that is popular among families. The show features an innovative twist where the actors are given a basic idea for a scene but are allowed to improvise the dialogues and actions. The second season of the show was celebrated greatly by fans, especially the third episode titled "The Great Coconuts Caper."
The episode begins with Blair and her best friend Mia, who is visiting her from out of town, preparing for a dance-off that is being held at the local community center. They are determined to beat the reigning champions, Owen and his partner, whose dance moves have been viral on social media. When Blair and Mia are practicing, they hear strange noises coming from their coconut tree in the backyard. When they investigate, they find out that someone has stolen all the coconuts from their tree. Needless to say, they are quite upset, as they had been counting on using them in their dance routine.
Meanwhile, Byron, the father of the family, is hosting a garage sale. He is excited to sell everything he can and make some extra money. His son Owen is helping him, but he is not interested in selling anything. Instead, he is busy making prank calls to his father's phone. They come across a peculiar customer who is interested in buying a cookie jar, barter and sell it for an amount higher than the asking price.
Things take an unexpected turn when Blair and Mia come back from their practice and discover that the dance competition has been canceled due to a problem with the sound system. They are heartbroken, and their spirits are further dampened when they realize that they will not be able to use the coconuts for anything. However, they soon realize that they might be able to use the money Byron has made from the garage sale to buy some more coconuts from the nearby store.
But when Blair and Mia go to the store, they find out that the price of the coconuts has doubled due to a coconut shortage. This means that they won't be able to afford as many coconuts as they had wanted to. Mia comes up with the idea of selling something at the garage sale to raise more money. But what could they possibly sell? That's when they remember the hilarious character they had sold the cookie jar to - who had given them more than they expected!
Meanwhile, Owen is confronted by his father, who has discovered that he has been making prank calls. Byron is upset and grounded Owen. Later his wife Rachel comes and tells him that the customer who had bought the cookie jar wants to return it, stating that there is a spider in it. To his surprise, when he opens the jar, he discovers that it is full of money, which he believes is counterfeit. He goes to the bank to check the authenticity of the cash, and to his surprise, he is informed that the money is genuine and that it is worth a lot. As Owen and his father try to figure out where the money came from, they are interrupted by their neighbor, Pat, who confesses to having smuggled the money from Peru.
Though all these events, The Great Coconuts Caper storyline follows each member of the family as they get tangled up in their individual conflicts, and together as they all come together to try and solve the problem of the missing coconuts and the mystery of the cookie jar full of money. The episode ultimately teaches us that the best way to solve a problem is by coming together and working as a team, and also about the importance of doing what is right, even when there is a lot of money on the line.
