Ep 8. Just Add Besties

Kelly, Hannah, and Darbie find themselves at odds with each other when they all want to spend time with their new best friend, goth baker Terri Quinn. Things get more complicated when Terri mentions a rare cookbook that she wants to get her hands on, the "Heritage Cookbook." When the girls discover that the book is only available at a fancy restaurant, they decide to pool their money and try and get a table. However, when their plans fall through, they turn to the cookbook for help.

After trying a few different recipes, they realize that they need to go to the source of the book's magic and find the original recipe holder, a woman named Caroline Palmer. Caroline is now an old woman living in a nursing home, and the girls must convince her to share her magic recipe. While visiting her, Kelly, Hannah, and Darbie learn that Caroline's friendship with another woman, Dee Dee, is what helped her find the recipe in the first place.

Realizing the importance of their own friendship, the girls reunite with Terri and ask her to join their circle. Together, they use their newfound magic to bring the nursing home residents together for a dance party, and Kelly, Hannah, and Darbie learn the true meaning of friendship and how it can be just as magical as any cookbook.
