In season 4 episode 6 of Junkyard Empire titled "Wired for Speed", we follow the team at the Maryland-based auto shop when they undertake a daunting challenge of rebuilding a 1967 Mustang that had been crashed previously. Andy Cohen, the owner of the shop, takes the project head-on, eager to convert the classic into a modern-day sports car.

The Mustang had the infamous 390 cubic inch engine under the hood and had been in a severe collision, reducing it to nothing but a pile of metal. The crew at Junkyard Empire got to work immediately, and the first step was to install an LS engine Joe Oswalt, an experienced mechanic, had lying around in his shop.

Joe explains how he intends to install an LS engine into the Mustang, which is not a straightforward job. The positioning of the engine, the size, and the amount of reinforcement that the engine requires all pose a significant challenge. Furthermore, Andy believes that the project would not be perfect unless the Mustang can operate at maximum speed. Joe suggests wiring the car to ensure that it can handle high speeds.

The crew dismantles the Mustang and begin to address the issue with the wiring. As the rewiring process continues, tensions rise as Joe pressures the team to work quickly to get the wiring done right. With the crew working diligently, the Mustang is soon ready, and Joe explains the complete modifications. The new LS engine is lightweight and produces more power with better handling than the old engine. Andy takes the upgraded Mustang out on the road and puts the pedal to the metal. The ride is smooth, and the car operates at maximum capacity, and Andy is pleased with the results.

After the success of the Mustang, the team is approached by a new client who needs help with a car that had been under his ownership for 10 years, a Chevy Nova. The car needs a new engine, and the owner insists on installing a unique one: a procharged engine that has the new owner hoping to take the car to the track. Andy takes this on but must first dismantle the car and get to the engine.

The crew quickly takes the Chevy Nova apart, and Andy begins installing the Procharged engine to the car. As with the Mustang, the team runs into complications, but ultimately, the engine installation is completed successfully. The Chevy Nova is given several test runs, and the owner is ecstatic with the results.

Andy informs the owner that the car is ready for the racetrack, and the owner agrees to take it to a nearby track. At the racetrack, the car is put to the test and performs well. The Chevy Nova glides around the track effortlessly, and the owner leaves with newfound confidence in his car.

Overall, season 4 episode 6 of Junkyard Empire titled "Wired for Speed" follows the team as they undertake a challenging project to give a crashed Mustang a new lease on life. Surmounting difficult obstacles such as rewiring and engine installation, the crew is successful in giving the Mustang a fresh start. Furthermore, the team takes on another project to add more power to a Chevy Nova by upgrading the engine. The episode showcases the talent of the team at Junkyard Empire as they take on challenging projects and deliver excellent results.
