In season 2 episode 4 of Junkyard Empire, titled "Hot Wheelin' and Dealin'", we follow the crew at Maryland's Damascus Motors as they take on some challenging projects. Andy and Bobby Cohen are the brains behind this operation, and their team works to restore old cars and turn them into masterpieces.
The episode kicks off with Bobby and Andy on the lookout for potential vehicles to add to their junkyard. They visit an auction where they hope to find some hidden gems. They come across a Corvette and a Mustang, both of which they believe can be turned into beautiful cars with some TLC. But, as always, they have to bid against other car enthusiasts, making the game a bit more complicated.
Next, the crew gets to work on a stalled project, a '55 Chevy. The original engine had been removed, and they had to replace it with a better one. Here, we see them working their magic, getting the new engine to work correctly and test-driving the car to make sure it's running smoothly. But the Chevy is in rough shape, so they need to repair dents, rust, and give the car a new paint job.
Meanwhile, in another part of their facility, Bobby and Andrew work on a customized power wheels mini-car for their son. They show us how they can make a little car look cool by installing new lights, making it faster and adding some chrome rims to the design. The little one tests out the car, and we see him driving it around, having the time of his life.
In the second half of the show, the team has their hands full with a Shelby Mustang, which they received as a challenge from a client. The catch, however, is that they have only two weeks to restore it before the client comes to pick it up. This is a massive undertaking, and the team is up for the challenge.
They have to repair the engine and suspension, replace the seats, and give the exterior a whole new paint job. However, as the Mustang project takes up most of their time, they find themselves struggling to meet the deadline.
At the same time, the team has to complete the Corvette project they previously won at the auction. They get to work on the car, removing the engine, sanding off the old paint, and priming the exterior. It's clear they have their work cut out for them and, despite the tight deadlines, they manage to complete both projects on time.
Overall, this episode of Junkyard Empire is a thrilling one, showcasing the incredible skills and expertise that Andrew and Bobby have and the hard work that goes into making these cars look so impressive. We see them challenge themselves with some daunting projects, and their teamwork and determination to complete each project make for an entertaining and inspiring watch.
