In Layers of Fear/The Thing that Drifted Ashore, viewers are introduced to two separate spine-tingling tales. The first story, Layers of Fear, follows a writer who rents a secluded cabin in hopes of getting work done, but she soon realizes that the cabin is far from peaceful. She becomes plagued with bizarre visions and nightmares, and the line between reality and terror blur. The second story, The Thing that Drifted Ashore, tells the tale of a strange object that washes up on the shore of a small town. The villagers are at first intrigued by the mysterious item, but soon realize that it poses a grave threat to their existence. As the town is consumed by an inexplicable terror, fear and paranoia run rampant and nothing is as it seems. Viewers are sure to be kept on the edge of their seats as they explore the horror that lurks within these two eerie tales.
