Ep 125. The Anti-Sleepover Landlord; Heavily Fogged Motorist

  • February 13, 2018

In season 22 episode 125 of Judge Judy, titled "The Anti-Sleepover Landlord; Heavily Fogged Motorist," Judge Judy listens to two different cases of people with very different problems.

In the first case, a landlord is suing her former tenant for damages to her property. The landlord rented out a room to the tenant's daughter, but had a strict policy against sleepovers. The tenant's daughter overrode her mother's permission and invited a friend to spend the night in the rented room. The landlord then found out about the sleepover and evicted the tenant's daughter and her friend immediately. The landlord is suing for damages as the tenant left the room in a bad condition and refused to pay for damages. The tenant, on the other hand, is arguing that the landlord is unreasonable and that the sleepover situation was a simple mistake that should not result in eviction.

In the second case, a man is suing a motorist who caused a car accident while driving in heavy fog. The plaintiff claims that the defendant was driving recklessly and caused him damages, which resulted in medical bills and car repairs. The defendant, however, argues that it was not her fault and that the fog was too thick to see properly. She also claims that the other driver was driving too fast for the conditions, and that he should have been more careful.

Judge Judy must listen to both sides of the story and evaluate the credibility of the witnesses. She scrutinizes both plaintiffs and defendants, and points out any inconsistencies and contradictions in their claims. As always, Judge Judy does not hold back in her opinions and does not hesitate to give her own verdict on what she thinks is right. As always, she brings clarity, common sense, and a good dose of humor to both cases before rendering her final judgement.
