On the 26th episode of the fourth season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure titled "A Little Story From The Past - My Name Is Doppio," we see a flashback episode that explores the origins of one of the series' key characters, Doppio.
The episode begins with a young Doppio, who is portrayed as a naive, innocent and cheerful young man living in an Italian village. The viewers are also introduced to some of the important characters of the episode, namely, Risotto Nero, the leader of hitman squad and Vinegar Doppio, who later becomes the right hand of the boss of the Italian mafia.
As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that Doppio's true nature is actually much more complex than it initially appears. The viewers see a side of him that is more erratic, aggressive, and unpredictable. Doppio is often seen wrestling with a strange voice in his head, which he perceives as his boss's orders. He is compelled to do whatever the voice tells him to do, no matter how depraved or insane it may seem.
Throughout the episode, Doppio's dual personality is highlighted as he constantly switches between the cheerful and innocent facade of his personality to the ruthless and violent side of his nature. It is later revealed that Doppio is actually a secondary personality belonging to the true leader of the Italian mafia, Diavolo.
As the episode comes to a close, we finally get to see Diavolo in the flesh, which comes as a shock to the viewers. This scene is significant as the true nature of Doppio's split personality becomes apparent, and we witness Diavolo's cruelty as he manipulates him.
In conclusion, "A Little Story From The Past - My Name Is Doppio" is an exceptional episode, as it offers viewers an insight into one of the series' least explored major characters.
