In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure season 1 episode 11 titled "Secret of the Sand," the spotlight is on Joseph Joestar as he battles against his opponent, the Egyptian Stand user, Alessi. Alessi's Stand, Sethan, has the ability to turn anyone it touches into a child, effectively erasing their memories and leaving them defenseless.
Joseph, along with his ally Polnareff, find themselves trapped in a house filled with traps and illusions, as they try to make their way to Jotaro and the rest of the group. But Alessi is hot on their trail, and as they make their way through the maze-like house, the danger looms larger and larger.
The tension in this episode is palpable, as Joseph must not only face Alessi's Stand, but also confront his own past and come to terms with the trauma that he experienced as a child. Through a series of flashbacks, we learn more about Joseph's childhood and his relationship with his grandmother, Lisa Lisa, who trained him in the art of Hamon.
As the episode progresses, the stakes get higher and higher, and Joseph is forced to dig deep and find the strength to overcome his fear and face his opponent head-on. The action scenes are thrilling and action-packed, as Joseph employs his wit and strategic thinking to outsmart Alessi and ultimately triumph over his foe.
But even as he emerges victorious, Joseph is left with plenty to ponder about his own journey and the betrayals he has experienced along the way. "Secret of the Sand" is a powerful and emotional episode, showcasing the best of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's blend of action, drama, and character development.
