Ep 16. Joey and the Denial (a.k.a. Joey and the Party for Alex)
Joey is a comedy television series about a struggling actor, Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) who moves to Los Angeles to try to make it big in Hollywood. Joey season 2 episode 16 titled Joey and the Denial (a.k.a. Joey and the Party for Alex) follows Joey as he hosts a party at his apartment for his nephew, Alex (Paulo Costanzo).
The episode begins with Joey trying to teach Alex how to be more confident with women. Meanwhile, Michael (Miguel A. Núñez Jr.), a friend of Joey's, comes over to help Joey plan a surprise party for Alex's birthday. Joey decides to invite Alex's crush, Sarah (Audra Lynn), to the party in hopes of getting Alex to make a move on her.

Throughout the episode, Joey struggles with his feelings for Sarah and tries to deny that he is jealous of Michael. He also deals with his own feelings of inadequacy as he watches Alex grow up and become more successful than him.
In the end, Joey comes to terms with his jealousy and apologizes to Alex for trying to interfere in his love life. Although Alex's party didn't go exactly as planned, everyone ends up having a good time and the family bonds are strengthened.
