Joey Tribbiani is an aspiring actor, famous for his role as Dr. Drake Ramoray in the popular TV show Friends. After Friends ends, Joey moves to Los Angeles to try to continue his acting career and to be closer to his sister, Gina, and nephew, Michael.

In season 1 episode 6 of Joey, titled "Joey and the Nemesis," Joey is struggling to find work as an actor and is feeling frustrated and down. When his agent, Bobbie, suggests that he take an acting class to improve his skills, Joey is initially resistant but eventually agrees to give it a try.

At the acting class, Joey meets his nemesis, a fellow actor named Dean, who always manages to steal the spotlight and make Joey look bad. Joey is determined to outshine Dean and prove that he's a better actor, but his attempts backfire and he only ends up looking foolish.

Meanwhile, Michael is dealing with his own nemesis at school, a boy named Brandon who bullies him constantly. Gina tries to help Michael by talking to Brandon's mother, but she turns out to be even more overbearing and pushy than Brandon himself.

As Joey continues to struggle with his acting class and Michael deals with Brandon's bullying, the two come up with a plan to help each other out. Joey coaches Michael on how to stand up to Brandon and be more assertive, while Michael helps Joey with his acting by giving him feedback and advice.

In the end, both Joey and Michael are able to face their nemesis and come out on top. Joey delivers a great scene in his acting class, winning the admiration of his classmates and even earning some praise from Dean. Michael stands up to Brandon and tells him to back off, earning the respect of his classmates and proving that he's not a pushover.
